Let us first begin by saying “not all email is the same”. What a terrible sales pitch – we know.
Let us now ask you:
- Do you have a laptop with email that seems to only work from certain locations? (ie: works at the office, but not at home).
- Would you like to have the same email account setup on more than one computer and not worry about half the mail showing up on one computer while the other half shows up on the other computer? Microsoft Exchange Email is, hands down, the most useful and most supported email system in existence AND it’s used through Outlook which is something you already know! You have to try it to fully understand itspower. Here are some examples of how businesses are becoming more productive by using Exchange:
- A company has one receptionist and 6 employees who see clients in-house and off-site. They frequently book clients for the other employees as well and did so using a book kept at the front desk. Now they can now see each other’s calendars in Outlook and add appointments for any other employee. They can view the calendars side by side or overlaid with one another. These employees are also on the road a fair bit and all carry blackberries. Because they also use our Blackberry Enterprise Server, those same appointments are always in sync with their phone so they never miss an appointment. They can also add their own appointments or block off unavailable times on their blackberries which everyone else will see when trying to book appointments within Outlook.
- Another company is small but growing rapidly. They now have multiple receptionists and need an easy way to make sure emails are not falling between the cracks. The primary email address for the company is set up on about 6 computers which all stay in sync with the server. When a new email comes in they can see if another employee has read it, replied to it or forwarded it.
